Glen DaCosta is a Jamaican saxophonist who is best known for his work with the legendary reggae musician Bob Marley. He was born on September 12, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica, and grew up in a musical family. His father was a drummer, and his mother was a singer, so he was exposed to music from a young age.

DaCosta started playing the saxophone at the age of 13, and by the time he was 15, he was already playing professionally. He played with a number of different bands in Jamaica before joining Bob Marley and The Wailers in the mid-1970s. DaCosta's saxophone playing added a new dimension to the band's sound, and he quickly became an integral member of the group.

DaCosta played on many of Bob Marley's classic recordings, including "Exodus," "Kaya," and "Survival." He also toured extensively with the band, playing shows all over the world. In addition to his work with Bob Marley, DaCosta has also played with a number of other reggae and jazz musicians, including Monty Alexander, Inner Circle, and Sly and Robbie.

In addition to his work as a saxophonist, DaCosta is also a talented composer and arranger. He has released several albums as a bandleader, including "Lyrical Sax," "Dancing Mood," and "Trilogy."
