Hugh Davies won two Grammy Awards for Glen Campbell's, 'Wichita Lineman', and for Laurindo Almeida's 'The Exodus.' When the Beatles played the Hollywood Bowl in 1964, Capitol Records sent him to do the sound engineering. He retired from Capitol Records in 1985 and then worked for five more years for Harmonial Mundi.

Over the years Davies was the recording engineer for many artists including Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and Frank Sinatra, Jr., Glen Campbell, Nelson Riddle, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Buck Owens, Helen Reddy, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Gram Parsons, and the Beach Boys.
